At $65 per seat per month, RingCX Standard is the cheapest Tier 1 contact center entry tier in the 2026 catalog. It ships with no AI features. Professional, at $95 annual, is the actual floor for any RingCX deployment that wants AI Quality Management or Agent Assist. That $30 gap is the first finding every RingCentral evaluation should price in.
RingCentral launched RingCX in November 2023 as a native cloud-built contact center, replacing an older OEM relationship with NICE inContact that the vendor still sells in parallel. Two-and-a-half years later, RingCentral has disclosed $100M in annual run-rate revenue from new AI products, 5,800-plus paying customers for its AI Receptionist (AIR), and 4,300-plus for its AI Conversation Expert (ACE). FY2025 total revenue reached $2.5B, up 5% year-over-year. RingCentral is not a 2025 Gartner CCaaS Magic Quadrant Leader. The five Leaders that year were NiCE, Genesys, Five9, Talkdesk, and AWS Amazon Connect.
This review covers the verified pricing math, the AI adoption numbers RingCentral has disclosed in earnings calls, the customers the vendor has named in case studies, the security and integrations footprint visible on the official site, and the structural caveats every 50-to-500-seat evaluation should weigh.
Pricing breaks at $95, not $65
The official RingCX pricing page lists four tiers: Standard, Professional, Elite, and Enterprise. Annual billing is roughly 15% cheaper than monthly. The minimum is three agents. Standard pulls in voice, ACD, IVR, skills-based routing, agent screen recording, and 20-plus digital channels. It does not include AI.
| Tier | Annual /seat /mo | Monthly /seat /mo | AI included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $65 | $75 | No |
| Professional | $95 | $110 | AI Quality Management, AI Agent Assist |
| Elite | $145 | $165 | + AI Supervisor Assist, AI Interaction Analytics, AI WFM |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Advanced WEM, 30+ digital channels |
If you shop the $65 sticker, know the catch. AI Agent Assist surfaces knowledge to your agents in real time. AI Quality Management auto-scores 100% of interactions. Neither is on Standard. Professional, at $95 annual, is the real entry point if AI is on your requirements list.
Elite at $145 adds AI Supervisor Assist, Interaction Analytics, and the native Workforce Management product that RingCentral acquired through CommunityWFM in September 2025, now branded RingCentral AI Workforce Management. Enterprise is a sales-gated SKU with custom contracts. The official billing FAQ uses $199.99/seat as its illustrative example, which suggests negotiated Enterprise contracts land above the Elite list rather than below it.
Bundled minutes look generous until you read the overage
Pricing-page sticker hides one of the more consequential numbers in any CCaaS contract. The RingCX Service Attachment lists two usage allowances that ship with every paid seat.
You get 2,000 IVR minutes per seat per month. You also get 4,000 outbound domestic dialer minutes per seat per month. International accounts get 4,000 manual outbound minutes per seat. Toll-free and automated dialer minutes are excluded from this pool and billed per minute.
Unused minutes do not roll over. That detail matters more than it sounds. If you run a 100-agent operation under-utilizing your dialer pool, you lose several hundred thousand minutes a month with no carry-forward.
On-Demand Seats are priced at the contract seat rate plus a $20 monthly overage. If you run a seasonal spike with 30 extra agents for a month, the math is straightforward: 30 × $145 + 30 × $20, or $4,950 in additional licensing for the period.
Two final knobs sit in the Service Attachment. Seats are billed Named (unique active accounts) or Concurrent (peak simultaneously logged in). The choice affects ramp economics. Bring-Your-Own-Carrier is supported, which matters for buyers with existing PSTN relationships they want to keep.
RingCX runs alongside a NICE-powered legacy product
RingCentral sells two contact-center products today. RingCX is the native build launched November 2023. RingCentral Contact Center (RCCC) is the legacy product, originally an OEM of NICE inContact, still sold and supported for existing customers. The two share a brand and a sales motion. They have different agent desktops, different reporting surfaces, and different roadmaps.
For greenfield buyers in 2026, RingCX is the strategic platform. RCCC remains for installed-base customers and complex deployments that the legacy product handled before RingCX existed. The dual-product reality creates two practical issues. Sales conversations sometimes hop between the two products. Tier 2 support tickets occasionally route between RingCentral and NICE teams, depending on which platform the customer is on.
Ask your account team to confirm which product is being quoted before you review pricing or feature lists. The two are not interchangeable, and the legacy RCCC G2 rating sits at 3.2 stars across moderate review volume, which says nothing about RingCX itself.
The AI revenue numbers are disclosed, not marketing
Most CCaaS vendors talk about AI traction in qualitative language. RingCentral has disclosed specific figures. In its Q3 2025 earnings transcript the company reported 5,800-plus paying customers for AIR (the AI Receptionist for inbound call routing) and 4,300-plus for ACE (the AI Conversation Expert, formerly branded RingSense). Pure AI annual recurring revenue almost tripled year-over-year in 2025, and new-product ARR reached $100M.
These are not marketing claims. They are quarterly earnings transcript line items, sourced and dated.
The product surface behind those numbers spans five SKUs. AI Receptionist handles inbound voice and intent identification before a human picks up. ACE transcribes, summarizes, surfaces sentiment, and feeds coaching. AI Quality Management auto-scores 100% of interactions on Professional and above. AI Agent Assist provides real-time guidance. AI Supervisor Assist alerts supervisors when an interaction needs attention. AI Interaction Analytics rolls topic and sentiment data into reporting.
RingCentral also announced an Agentic Voice AI Suite in 2026 with vertical agents aimed at healthcare, legal, and financial services. The vertical-AI strategy mirrors moves at Talkdesk (Industry Experience Clouds) and Salesforce (Agentforce Service vertical packs). Whether the 2026 launch translates to similar disclosed ARR by mid-2027 is open. The company has not committed publicly to a customer-count milestone for the vertical packs.
Customer evidence spans BPOs, hospitals, and multi-location chains
RingCentralxe2x80x99s case-study library names operators across food retail, BPO, healthcare, automotive retail, financial services, and 3PL logistics. Several cases publish quantitative outcomes the vendor attributes to RingCX deployment.
Burgers' Smokehouse handled a 900% holiday call-volume spike through RingCX queuing without adding agents. Brothers Services, a home-services contractor, reported a 20% lift in booked appointments after deploying AI Quality Management. The Office Gurus, a 50-plus year BPO, attributed a 27% increase in calls handled to RingCX adoption at unchanged staffing.
The healthcare evidence is sharper. A top-tier Canadian hospital (named in the case study, redacted here) recaptured 73 hours of staff time per week and reduced patient complaints by 75% after rolling out RingCX with AIR. Maple Federal Credit Union cut hold times by 90% through a combined RingEX + AIR deployment. Destination Pet runs RingCX, AIR, and ACE across 180-plus locations.
Cartelligent, an auto-retail brokerage, reported lead abandonment falling from 78% to zero after RingCX deployment, an outcome the vendor attributes to coverage of inbound enquiry windows that previously missed calls. The number is striking enough that you should request the methodology before quoting it back internally.
Enterprise logos on the RingCentral homepage include Toyota, Lufthansa, Salesforce, AWS, eBay, T-Mobile, Telus, BT, Vodafone Business, Spectrum Business, Target, HubSpot, Reddit, Hugo Boss, Restoration Hardware, the Golden State Warriors, Office Depot, BDO, and Michigan State. These customers run RingCentral products at scale, though not all of them necessarily use RingCX itself rather than RingEX.
Workforce management arrived through CommunityWFM, September 2025
Native workforce management was a RingCX feature gap until September 2025. RingCentral acquired CommunityWFM in that month and rolled the product into the Elite tier as RingCentral AI Workforce Management. Before the acquisition, RingCX customers needing deeper WFM ran Calabrio or NICE WFM through integration.
The integration timeline tells you something about how recent the native WFM story is. A 2026 evaluator weighing RingCX against Genesys Cloud CX or NICE CXone for a WFM-led deployment is comparing nine months of native product against a decade-plus of incumbent investment.
If your WFM requirements are routine scheduling, forecasting, and adherence tracking, you will likely find the bundled product sufficient. If you run multi-skill multi-site optimization against a tenured WFM analyst, request reference customers running the native product, not the Calabrio integration, at comparable scale.
Integrations: 500+ in the App Gallery
The official App Gallery at ringcentral.com/apps lists more than 500 pre-built integrations. The breadth across categories is broad, and the depth in CRM and helpdesk is competitive with anything outside the Tier 1 enterprise Leaders.
| Category | Notable integrations |
|---|---|
| CRM | Salesforce (Sales Cloud + Service Cloud), HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM, SugarCRM |
| Helpdesk | Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira, Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud |
| Identity / SSO | Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, OneLogin, Ping Identity |
| Productivity | Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft 365 |
| AI overlays | Native ACE and AIR; third-party AI in App Gallery |
| Carrier / PSTN | Direct in 40+ countries; BYOC supported |
The PSTN number matters less than RingCentral has historically positioned. 40-plus countries is competitive with Talkdesk and ahead of Five9 in some regions, behind 8x8 in others. If you serve heavy international voice volume, request a per-country price sheet rather than relying on the marketing footprint number.
WhatsApp Business is listed as an official RingCX channel connector, which closes one of the recurring buyer questions on async channel handling.
Security: HITRUST yes, FedRAMP not on the badge wall
The official Trust Center at ringcentral.com/trust-center.html displays a clear set of certifications. HITRUST (full certification, not just a CSF assessment) is the headline credential, alongside PCI DSS, AICPA SOC 2 Type II, AICPA SOC 3, GDPR, UK Cyber Essentials Plus, and HIPAA with BAA available.
What is not on the badge wall is the more interesting fact. FedRAMP authorization is not displayed on the public Trust Center page as of fetch date. Five9 has GovRAMP membership and TexasRAMP but also no FedRAMP. NICE CXone holds FedRAMP Moderate. Genesys holds FedRAMP. AWS Amazon Connect inherits FedRAMP through AWS. Salesforce Government Cloud Plus holds FedRAMP High plus DoD IL4. Federal buyers with a hard FedRAMP requirement should treat RingCX as needing a specific written confirmation rather than a public credential check.
The reliability commitment is five-nines (99.999%) across phone services. The 2026 Agentic Voice AI announcement extended that target across the integrated platform.
Where RingCX still falls short
A vendor-neutral review names the gaps. RingCX has four.
First, AI is not on Standard. The $65 sticker is the entry to RingCX. The entry to AI-bearing RingCX is $95. When you compare per-seat numbers across vendors, align tier features first.
Second, RingCX is licensed separately from RingEX. Customers wanting unified UCaaS and CCaaS pay for both. There is no consolidated single-seat SKU that bundles both products under one price. Vendors like 8x8 (XCaaS), Nextiva (UCXM), and Dialpad market a more integrated bundle motion.
Third, two contact-center products live in market. RingCX (native) and RCCC (NICE inContact OEM, legacy) ship in parallel. Most buyers in 2026 should choose RingCX, but support, billing, and roadmap conversations occasionally bleed between the two. Confirm the SKU on every quote.
Fourth, RingCX is not a 2025 Gartner CCaaS Magic Quadrant Leader. Buyers who weight analyst placement heavily should know this before the RFP. The 2025 MQ Leaders were NiCE, Genesys, Five9, Talkdesk, and AWS Amazon Connect. RingCX is a credible mid-market product that did not make that quadrant.
How RingCX compares with the 2025 Gartner Leaders
Five quick head-to-heads, each grounded in published facts rather than positioning rhetoric.
RingCX vs Five9. Five9 starts at Digital $119 (digital only) and Core $159 (voice), with a 50-seat minimum. RingCX starts at Standard $65 with a 3-agent minimum. The two platforms target different bands. Five9 wins for outbound-heavy operations where TCPA-compliant predictive dialing matters. RingCX wins for buyers under 50 seats and for buyers wanting the AI bundled into the licensed tier.
RingCX vs Talkdesk. Talkdesk publishes Digital Essentials $85, Voice Essentials $105, Elite $165, and Industry Clouds $225, all on a 3-year minimum commitment. RingCX has no 3-year minimum on standard contracts. Talkdeskxe2x80x99s Industry Experience Clouds (Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare) ship vertical templates RingCX does not match in 2026. Verticalized buyers should weight Talkdesk; horizontal mid-market buyers can save on the contract commit by choosing RingCX.
RingCX vs NICE CXone. NICE leads the 2025 Gartner MQ on Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. NICE has disclosed $328M in AI ARR with 66% year-over-year growth, the fastest in the public CCaaS field. RingCX has a 9-month-old native WFM product. NICE has the deepest WFM and analytics suite in the category. For WFM-led deployments above 500 seats, NICE remains the conservative choice.
RingCX vs Genesys Cloud CX. Genesys is the omnichannel enterprise reference. The product carries an ISO/IEC 42001:2023 AI Management System certification, the only vendor in this list with that responsible-AI credential publicly displayed. Genesys is also private and expected to IPO in 2026 at a reported $21B target valuation. Enterprise buyers preferring a public-company financial profile have RingCX (NYSE: RNG) as the alternative.
RingCX vs AWS Amazon Connect. Amazon Connect ships under a "Customer" SKU with AI bundled at $0.038 per voice minute, or "Customer Basic" at $0.018 per minute without AI. PSTN reaches DID in 158 countries, outbound in 72. RingCX is per-seat. Amazon Connect is per-minute. The two pricing models target very different operating-cost profiles. Variable-volume operations benefit from Amazon Connect; predictable steady-state operations benefit from RingCX.
The bottom line for a 50-to-500-seat evaluator
RingCX in 2026 is a credible Tier 1 mid-market product with three structural advantages and four documented limitations.
The advantages are clear. AI features are bundled into the licensed tier rather than itemized as add-ons, which simplifies budget modelling. The native CCaaS launched in November 2023, with verifiable AI revenue disclosed in earnings (5,800-plus AIR customers, 4,300-plus ACE customers, $100M new-product ARR). The integration footprint exceeds 500 in the App Gallery, with deep coverage in CRM, helpdesk, identity, and productivity.
The limitations are equally clear. AI is absent from Standard, so the practical entry tier is Professional at $95. RingCX and RingEX bill separately, so single-vendor buyers carry two seat licenses. The legacy NICE-powered RCCC product still sells in parallel, which causes occasional billing and support friction. The platform did not make the 2025 Gartner CCaaS Magic Quadrant Leaders quadrant.
Evaluators serving 50-to-500 seats with mainstream omnichannel needs should shortlist RingCX alongside Talkdesk and 8x8, then test against one of the 2025 Gartner Leaders (Genesys, NiCE, Five9, Talkdesk, or AWS Amazon Connect) at the same scope. Buyers above 500 seats or with deep WFM, FedRAMP, or vertical-cloud requirements typically end up with one of the Leaders for documentable reasons.
Verify the current pricing on the official RingCentral contact-center pricing page before you quote numbers internally. Pricing and tier composition shift quarterly across the category. The Service Attachment is your source of truth for usage allowances, overages, and licensing model.
Methodology
This review is built from RingCentralxe2x80x99s official pricing page, the RingCX Service Attachment (legal terms), the companyxe2x80x99s billing FAQ, Q3 2025 and Q4 2025 earnings transcripts, the November 2023 RingCX launch press release, the official Trust Center compliance page, the App Gallery integrations marketplace, and the named case studies in RingCentralxe2x80x99s customer library. The 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for CCaaS was published September 8, 2025; the five Leaders cited are confirmed through vendor press releases from NiCE, Genesys, Five9, Talkdesk, and AWS.
No customer count, revenue figure, or product feature is asserted without a sourced citation in the research file at /usr/local/var/www/contact-center/research/contact-center/articles/ringcentral.md. Where evidence was not available — RingCX-specific independent reviewer aggregates, exact PSTN per-country coverage, internal implementation timelines, RingCX-specific customer count — the review hedges rather than fabricates. Rating column in the catalog database is intentionally null pending hand-verified G2 numbers.
