Compare outbound call center dialers: power, predictive and preview. TCPA-compliant platforms for sales, collections and BPOs.

Dialer & Outbound Software

Power, predictive and preview dialers for outbound sales and collections.

What is a dialer?

A dialer is software that automates outbound calls — placing them faster than agents could manually, screening for answering machines and connecting only live answers. Power dialers call one number at a time per agent; predictive dialers call multiple ahead of agent availability; preview dialers let agents review context before each call.

TCPA, abandonment and compliance

Outbound dialing is heavily regulated. US federal TCPA, FCC abandonment caps (≤3%), state two-party consent laws and DNC scrubbing all apply. The dialer you pick should make compliance the default.

Who needs one

  • Inside sales teams (SaaS, insurance, fintech)
  • BPOs running outbound campaigns
  • Collections agencies
  • Political and survey calling

What each role does in an outbound dialer deployment

  • Agent — takes connects from the predictive dialer with the campaign script and lead record already loaded, disposes each call, and moves to the next connect without dialing manually.
  • Supervisor — monitors pacing, right-party-connect rate and dropped-call rate in real time, coaches through whisper, and dials down the pacing algorithm when the FCC 3% abandonment cap tightens.
  • QA analyst — scores recorded outbound conversations against mini-Miranda script compliance and DNC-list handling, and coaches agents on objection handling from the specific recording.
  • WFM manager — forecasts lead-list flow and staffs shifts around per-time-zone dial windows, adjusting for connect-rate seasonality.
  • IT / telecom admin — configures predictive, progressive, preview or manual modes for TCPA compliance, integrates lead lists through CRM APIs, and monitors deliverability across the outbound dialing footprint.

Unified agent desktop and cross-channel history

A modern outbound dialer runs alongside inbound and digital channels on the same platform. When a called prospect asks for follow-up by SMS or email, the agent triggers it from the same desktop, and the returning reply joins the customer's journey without a fresh case number. The supervisor sees the outbound campaign metrics and the inbound queue in the same dashboard, and the WFM manager staffs multi-skill agents to move between the two as volume shifts through the day.
